My dog bites everything from couches, bed sheets,us,everything and i dont know how to train him
even when we look at him he growls and crap plz help.
You didn’t give very many details about the situation, but here goes…if your dog is less than 6 months old he/she could be chewing to relieve teething stress. Confining a puppy to one small area with lots of chew toys can help this. Dogs, like kids, need to learn limits for their own saftey and your sanity.
If the dog is older, you have some behaviour problems that aren’t going to go away without the help of special training for obediance and behaviour modification. Ask a vet, a local kennel owner, or look in the yellow pages for info on dog trainers in the area. Then do some calling to talk to the trainers and discuss your dog’s actions. Obediance training is great for both the dog and the owner, because it will teach you how to teach the dog! The part of your message that sends out the alarms is that your dog growls at you when you look at it - this might be a harmless invitation to play if it’s coming from a puppy, BUT - if the dog is older, he’s probably telling you that HE’S the boss in the house, and if you don’t act like he is, he’ll bite you to back it up. The sooner you can get him into training to educate him out of this notion the better (and safer) for you. Also, if it’s a male get it neutered - if it’s female, get her spayed. Un-neutered male dogs can be very aggressive, and there’s no room in the world for more unwanted puppies. Good luck with everything!

I am going to move into an apartment sometime around May, and I’m just interested in any ideas on how to easily allow my pomeranian potty breaks. She’s very well housetrained, and i know that I’ll have to walk her everyday…
What’s you’re "technique" for walking your dog in an apartment situation?
With my dog I, um… er… put his leash on and take him outside. I take him on short/around a block or two walks a few times a day, and one long (45 minutes to 2 hours) walk a day. And it works wonderfully.
There’s no real "technique"… it’s not at all complicated. Put them on a leash, take them outside, and they go to the bathroom.

How do you teach your dog/puppy to ring a bell that I hang from the door nob when he needs to go potty?
Funny you should ask this, my friend’s dog is trained this way. She has the bell on the door and every single time the dog is taken out to potty, ring the bell, every time. She put a cord on it so eventually her dog grabs the cord and rings the bell to go out. Works great for her!

I have a 8 wk. old boxer puppy and was wondering if there were any specific techniques that I should be using for her training. She likes to bite and when we pull back or say no she just gets more aggressive.
Puppies explore the world with their mouths. Its a game to her, you pull your hand away, she chases it! what fun! Buy LOTS of toys and REDIRECT all the time. A simple ‘ah uh!’ and show her the toy then PRAISE when she gets the toy.

My fiancee and I just got a Shiba Inu Puppy and we were looking for the best ways to train our puppy to his new environment. Shibas are very agressive and stubborn animals so we want to know what’s the best way to approach his training. I heard alot about doing the dog whisperer method but I’ve read at some places that that method may not be good.
Even his show says not to try this at home, and the AVSAB (American Vet Society of Animal Behavior) agrees- they recommend not using his methods.
Positive reinforcement training using a marker (clicker training) works well with all breeds, when applied correctly. It has been used successfully with hundreds of species from birds, felines, marine mammals, dogs, pigs, horses, even invertebrates.
Learn about clicker training and how training can be a cooperative effort shared by two species, instead of a confrontation.
